Happy holidays, from Parse.ly’s family to yours! Thanks for being a part of Parse.ly’s growing family in 2015. ​This year brought us:

• 20 new team members
• 5 Parse.ly babies (with four on the way!)
• 1 wedding ​celebration
• 1 engagement ring

We were also proud to track almost 50 billion page views in 2015 for some of the best media companies in the world — and to launch one brand-new dashboard​. Take a look at what else our team was most proud of in 2015, and what we are looking forward to in 2016.

I was proud of how well my two sons got along in 2015, now that the youngest is old enough to not just be a newborn lump. In 2016, I’m looking forward to buying our first house.

It was amazing to see how the team at Parse.ly grew in 2015. Growth can be hard for a company, but everyone at Parse.ly is so committed to our clients, our product and our team, and I’m very proud of how we’ve been thoughtful about making that happen.

In 2016, I am looking forward to being the first woman at Parse.ly to go on maternity leave! Not only am I (of course!) excited for the arrival of Baby Carr, but I’m excited to help pave the way for other women at the company who want to have children and continue to pursue their careers.

Releasing the PC game, Cibele, with my weekend team and seeing players’ reactions was my proudest moment of 2015.

In 2016, I am looking forward to significantly leveling up my engineering ability.

Professionally, I was proud of what we shipped in 2015! An entirely new version of our dashboard which included an entire rewrite of our backend systems. It allowed us to deliver massive enhancements but we had to keep our current product up and running. It was awesome, fulfilling, exciting, and exhausting all at once. Personally, watching my daughter turn one and reflecting on how much has happened since she was born has been so fulfilling. Kids are amazing.

In 2016, I am most looking forward to watching my daughter turn two (though I hear the toddler days aren’t so fun), and delivering on Parse.ly’s commitment to digital content insights, whatever form that content may take and wherever it’s distributed.

Personally, I was most proud of my second child (and first son) Anthony being born on April 23, 2015. Professionally, I was excited to be promoted to Director of Sales. In 2016, I am most looking forward to watching my daughter dance in her first recital and to my son taking his first steps.

Professionally, I am looking forward to watching the Parse.ly platform expand and provide even further value for our customers — and continuing to work with some amazing people!

In 2015, I was most proud of how much we’ve matured as an SDR team. We had some serious growing pains taking the team from a one-man-shop to the well-oiled machine it is today. We worked together to create replicable and scalable processes that will define how this team works forever.

In 2016, I am looking forward to utilizing our sales development efforts to help us test new markets and explore new verticals. This experimentation is so much fun; we are uncovering what these verticals / markets need and how we can build / tweak our product to meet them. It’s going to be an amazing year!

I’m most proud of the entire Success team. We started off as a wee Parse.ly sprig and have grown considerably without cutting corners. We’ve tackled some serious issues (in two systems running simultaneously), established process that will make us more efficient in 2016, and improved the communication in our team to where we run like a well oiled machine now.

I’m getting married in August 2016!!! I cannot wait!

One thing I was most proud of in 2015 was making the move from San Francisco to New York to join a company that I have enjoyed working with so much.

In 2016, I’m most looking forward to being able to build out from the foundation I’ve been able to lay in 2015 for my friendships, my professional life, and my creative outlets!

In 2015, I’m most proud of being hired at Parse.ly and buying my house.

In 2016, I’m looking forward to learning a lot more python and working on my design skills. I’m especially excited about attending the Smashing Magazine conference in Oxford, UK in March!

In 2015, I was most proud of being able learn an entirely new company and industry than I was previously in. I’m most looking forward to continuing to see the growth, not just of Parse.ly, but of all of the publishers who are using the Parse.ly API and dashboard to help understand and grow their audience.

In 2015, I am most proud of following through and completing my New Year’s resolution: get a new job. I was very strategic and picky during my job search and found Parse.ly, a company that has improved my lifestyle and happiness one hundred fold (not an exaggeration).

In 2016, I am looking forward to Remote Year! Starting in March I’ll be living in a different international city every month, keeping my job at Parse.y, and working remotely in each of these cities. I’m going with 60 or so other people and cannot wait to be a nomad.

In 2015 I was most proud of working on dockerized alpha environments for Cars.com, and writing an open-source Wharfee shell as a result of my Docker work. In 2016, I am looking forward to mastering Big Data and its Parse.ly toolbox (Storm, Spark, Cassandra, Elasticsearch).
